JianMen GuanLou

剑门关楼

Jianmenguanguan Guanlou is 19.34 meters high, its base is 19.16 meters long and 13.6 meters wide. It is divided into three layers: the first layer is used as a passage for entry and exit in peacetime, the second layer is used to defend the enemy, and the third layer is used to look at invaders from a distance.

The left and right stone gates are about 80-150 meters high, 150 kilometers wide, and 300 meters thick. They are called "Jianmen" because the tops of the two gates are covered with sword-shaped peaks. The mountain peaks flew hundreds of miles, like a natural fence, protecting the western Sichuan plain. Therefore, it is known as the "Northern Sichuan barrier", and the middle gap of Shimen is "Sichuan throat". The danger of Jianshan is because the mountain is bounded by Fushui River at one end and the Jialing River at the other, spanning 200 miles, like a bulge in a depression.

Jianmen Pass resides at the interruption of Dajian Mountain, with cliffs on both sides, straight into the clouds.
