Jiange cypress, also known as pine cypress evergreen tree, is the only pine cypress tree in the world. In 1984, Jiang Weiqing, a member of the Advisory Committee of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, wrote the words "treasure of the country" while browsing. The number of the tree is 1027, the height of the tree is 27 meters, the age of the tree is more than 2300 years, the trunk is tall and straight, the branches and leaves are like pine like cypress, the branches are dense, not drooping, it looks like pine far away, and it looks like cypress near. Its fruit is oval, smaller than pineal, larger than cypress, in the shape of pineal, and the crack is cypress. On March 21, 1963, chairman Zhu De visited the tree in person. After listening to the introduction, he told the county leaders to protect the pine and cypress evergreen tree. In April 1978, the taxonomic experts of the provincial forestry institute identified it as a new variety other than 154 cypresses. In that year, it was announced by Sichuan Provincial People's government as a "three-level protected tree species".In April 2004, it was awarded as one of the "top ten tree kings of Tianfu" by Sichuan Provincial Forestry Department and West China City daily. Later, the experts cultivated the tree, hoping that the tree would have offspring, but it failed. Forestry experts because it is the world's only tree species, so called "jiange cypress".
